SANCTION
In January 2020 she received a two-year ban following three missed anti-doping tests in a 12-month period. Her period of ineligibility was dated from 19 April 2019. She claimed that she did not hear the doorbell ring or the knocking of the doping control officer when he visited her home in Texas, United States of America, for the third offence in April 2019. Her explanation was rejected by a World Athletics disciplinary tribunal. In 2020 she lodged an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport against the decision, which was dismissed in March 2021 and her ban was upheld. Her ban ended on 18 April 2021 and she returned to competition in May 2021.
