He believes that winning a javelin gold medal at the 2014 World Junior Championships in Eugene, OR, United States of America resulted in a drop in his motivation and it was only after a loss of funding that he changed his attitude. "Maybe I didn't even understand what money was before. I had quite a lot of financial support, but I didn't appreciate it. I was like a boy and did what I wanted to. I simply did not understand what was needed in life to achieve better results. Now I am absolutely convinced that after I changed, my results changed. I have stability now [2020] and I am a married man. I have to think about family and not behave like I am a primary school student.
