She sustained a tendon injury in her foot in mid-2018 which she continued to run on, aggravating the problem. She recovered in early 2019. (aargauerzeitung.ch, 05 Jul 2019)

"When I was at age 12 I decided that I should take up a sport, and so I visited an athletics club. However, I struggled with the fact that I had to train and compete in all disciplines. I couldn't get used to throwing and endurance, and I stopped pretty quickly. For a few years I got quite lazy, until my father asked me when I was at age 17 to do something useful with my free time. So I decided to join the LC Bruhl athletics sprint group. I liked that very much and every year I was more motivated to invest more in training. It was worth it." General Interest

General
EARLY DAYS
She was born in Switzerland but spent much of her childhood in Benin, where her parents moved for work. She returned to Switzerland at age 11. "When I was at age six, I moved with my family to Benin, where my parents set up a humanitarian project. We lived in the bush for five years and lived a very different life than in Switzerland. I like to remember the time when I always ran barefoot through the bushes, where I could pick mangoes straight from the tree and one of my leisure activities was chasing chickens. We didn't have a TV. Because of that, I missed children's films. I realise that when my friends tell me about childhood Disney films. I went to school for the first time in Switzerland. I still remember that it was important to be as cool as possible. It was a completely new experience for me. In Benin everything was much more spontaneous, you just walked in with neighbours or friends, ate lunch together, or helped out in the household." (salome-kora.ch, 01 Dec 2019; tagblatt.ch, 09 Dec 2019)

FUTURE PLANS
She studied for a master's degree at the University of Education St. Gallen and says she hopes to work as a teacher. (salome-kora.ch, 01 Dec 2019)
