FEET INJURIES
A congenital problem in her feet has limited her performance during her career. Although she tried to avoid an operation, after her participation at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, she decided to have surgery on the bunions on her feet. "The other option would have been giving up the sport." However, the problem did not end, as part of the treatment included the insertion of two nails, one in each foot. Her 2019 season was particularly difficult. "One of the nails moved and caused me a lot of pain, but I could not stop because of the planning we had." After not being able to pass the first round at the 2019 World Championships in Doha, Qatar, she decided to remove the nails from her feet, missing two months of training.
