"The night before [a race], it's been something our [university] team does all the time at Syracuse, we would just go to an Italian restaurant and get a chicken parmigiana. That's just something I've been doing ever since my freshman year. As long as wherever I'm racing has that option, I'll always get a chicken parmigiana before my race. I think leading up to the race, my last meal, which would either be breakfast or lunch usually, is always oatmeal. I'll always just get Quaker oats and make something that's easy for the stomach to digest and have a good race." (syracuse.com, 17 Mar 2020)

"Staying humble in track is always important. You don't ever know how just being nice and making time for people will affect others. That's just what you got to do, treat others how you want to be treated." (runnerspace.com, 07 Feb 2020)
