General Interest

General
JAVELIN HOLDER
Alongside her sponsor, Canadian company Javelin Technologies, she designed a protective javelin holder and ran a crowdfunding campaign in order to make the product available to other athletes in 2018. "I'd arrive at a training camp or competition only to find my expensive javelins - my livelihood - had been mishandled or damaged in some way. I cringe when I hear them rattling in the tube, or when they've been stored in a compromised way. So, after some brainstorming over dinner, we had a napkin drawing of the first SpearSafe prototype. Although initially designed for personal use, other athletes noticed it and kept asking me where they could get one." (indiegogo.com, 12 Aug 2018)

OTHER ACTIVITIES
She has written articles for BC [British Columbia] Athletics and Javelin Technologies in Canada and has done motivational speaking engagements. She has also worked as a high-performance athletes' consultant, and has been head javelin coach at the Vancouver Thunderbirds club in British Columbia, Canada.
