"When I was little, I never wanted to become a top athlete. I remember that my mother, who is also my biggest cheerleader and a big sports fan, watched athletics all the time and cheered for our [Slovenian] athletes. I thought the best athletes in the world were too muscular and I told myself that I would never like to be like that. But later I became attracted to athletics. Especially in high school, when as a youngster I started competing in the biggest youth competitions. I slowly fell in love with athletics and running. I can't imagine my life without it.
