"I only train in the evening, after work. Of course I sometimes get tired before the training starts, but if I can get 15 minutes at home, that's enough." (atletiek.be, 10 Jan 2020)

General Interest

General
200M FOCUS
She says her preferred discipline is the 200m despite occasionally competing in other events. "I will certainly run a 400m every now and then, but I will continue to opt for the 200m in the most important races. I believe that the two distances reinforce each other." (atletiek.be, 10 Jan 2020)

FULL-TIME LAWYER
She works as a full-time lawyer. "I found regularity when I started working. I have now [2019] started my third year as a lawyer, full-time. Of course juggling sports and occupation is not easy, but it is not so bad. I am self-employed and I determine my own schedule, so I can usually fit in the training that I want to do. Sometimes I miss a session because of my work obligations." (atletiek.be, 10 Jan 2020)

BREAK
She took time away from athletics in 2015 and studied in Paris, France. She says the break helped her regain her motivation for athletics. "I ran very well until 2012, then less. I still don't know why that was. Probably a combination of stress and injuries. I try to preserve the spirit that pleasure comes first and the results follow." (atletiek.be, 10 Jan 2020)
