She missed the 2019 outdoor season due to a chronic Achilles tendon injury. She underwent a six-month period of rehabilitation and resumed training in October 2019. (worldathletics.org, 12 Nov 2020)

Earlier in her career she suffered from pelvic problems due to her running technique, which caused her to experience groin and hamstring issues. In 2014 she changed her training technique with coach Carole Kaboud Mebam, and within a month she had run a personal best. (blog.lesoir.be, 19 May 2014)
