She was playing basketball for 13 years but wanted to try something new. "I felt on the basketball side that I was starting to run out of steam. I wanted to discover a new world. When I played basketball people often praised my speed, and I already liked to run. I had tried cross-country but I was not able to succeed, and I tried throwing events, jumping, and the 100m, but it was in the 400m that I blossomed." COACH
Her coach, Sullivan Breton, is also her partner, and had no experience in athletics coaching when the pair started working together in 2017. Breton's sport was BMX and he started coaching young riders in 2011 before earning qualifications as a personal trainer. In 2019 he said their professional partnership was working well, and they had set the goal of reaching the Olympic Games together. "It worked straight away, there was a very good feeling between us from the start," Breton said. "We were lucky to meet at the right time. It's quite unexpected what we managed to do in just three years. It's a bit of a fairy tale. I've been telling her [Brossier] ever since we started working together that if she qualifies for the Olympic Games I will have reached my goal and can quit coaching. What is certain is that the day she no longer progresses with me, she will have to find another coach. In the meantime, I think we still have some great things to do together." FURTHER EDUCATION
After completing a degree in psychology at the University at Angers, she completed a master's degree in neuro-psychology and children's psychology in 2019. (LinkedIn profile, 01 Jan 2020; sportbusinessmag.com, 08 Mar 2020; ouest-france.fr, 03 Jan 2019)
