"In school we were doing sports and they were choosing the team. I guess I performed well, because I was noticed by a teacher, whose daughter trained at the Znicz Bilgoraj club. He asked me if I would also like to train, because then his daughter would have some company. I decided to give it a try. Before then I had never tried running, I didn't even know that you could train in it or that there were running competitions." (maratonczyk.pl, 24 Jun 2020)

NEW CHAPTER
In 2020 she considered quitting athletics having struggled for form for several years. She says that following the postponement of the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, she rediscovered her love for the sport after making changes including a new coach. "One year ago [in 2020] I was in crisis, I even thought about ending my career, because during the previous three years I didn't achieve good results. Thanks to the postponement of the 2020 Olympic Games I got an additional year to achieve my dream of qualifying for Tokyo. Many things have changed in my life, and I managed to qualify. Before it was such a stagnation, but I managed to break it, I changed my coach and everything started to work out. I got rid of my earlier doubts. Until this breakthrough I did not believe that I could achieve anything else, I thought that my previous successes had been my peak. I regained the joy in what I do." (azs.umcs.pl, 11 Jun 2021)
