He first played rugby, but in 2017 suffered a torn hip flexor muscle and was unable to return to high-impact sport. "My coach asked if I wanted to start athletics, because he could see that I would be able to run fast. I wanted to, so I slowly trained up to be able to run." HERITAGE
His father Jens-Peter is Danish but grew up in Kenya, and his mother Mphanga is Zambian. He has lived in Tanzania, Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Kenya, and England with his family. "My real home was where the family lived. I definitely feel both Danish and Zambian, I've got family in both places and visit them quite often, but I align myself very closely with Kenya as well. We often talk about it in the family, we have been really lucky to be out all our lives, travel around, get all the experiences, see life from different perspectives. My father worked for the Danish embassy for some time. Me and my brother have seen a lot of different things, both public, private, business. There are not many at our age who get to see that much." (dr.dk, 12 Apr 2021; worldathletics.org, 28 Jun 2021)

TRAINING CENTRE
He has founded his own training centre, TKD Performance, in Nairobi, Kenya. "We gather the greatest sprint talents in East Africa. They are known for long distance, but they have just as much talent in sprint. There are just no facilities and infrastructure for them to train. We have imported facilities and found the best coaches. The idea has mostly arisen because it is the perfect climate to train in. There is no reason why Kenya does not have people on the big stage in the sprint, only lack of resources and facilities. It is a mix of our own funds and investors, both foreign and local. Here are warm and fairly constant temperatures, and that means a lot. You pretty much always know what the weather will be like. It is about 25 to 26 degrees and sunny. You can have constant training and there is less likelihood of injury." (dr.dk, 12 Apr 2021)
