General Interest

General
ALTITUDE TRAINING IN WARSAW
In 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic he and Adam Kszczot took part in an experimental training camp in the Polish capital city of Warsaw. "I had to, because of the pandemic. The borders were closed, so together with Adam Kszczot we set up a big experiment and organised a high altitude camp in Warsaw. Several hypoxic rooms were built there, with a reduced amount of oxygen, a gym, and treadmills. And we trained there. We stayed in a hotel at approximately sea level, we trained at 2200m above sea level like in Kenya, and we slept in an oxygen tent." (eurosport.tvn24.pl, 13 Mar 2021)

RETIREMENT PLANS
He intends to retire from the sport before the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. "The Tokyo [2020] Games will be my last, even if I win gold there. Enough with this hard work. It's time for a new chapter, especially with my family." (eurosport.tvn24.pl, 13 Mar 2021)

BROTHER AND COACH
He was coached by his older brother Tomasz from 2002 onwards, but the collaboration ended in May 2021. "Training over long distance was getting more and more difficult. Thank you for everything. It's thanks to you that I am where I am," Marcin said. (sportowefakty.wp.pl, 05 May 2021; fakt.pl, 19 May 2020; wyborcza.pl, 20 Jan 2020; sport.se, 10 Mar 2015)

BOOK
In 2020 he released a book called 'Moj Bieg' [My Run], which explains his love for running and the story of his path to success. (Wydawnictwo Precjoza YouTube channel, 16 Jan 2020; lubimyczytac.pl, 01 Jan 2020)
