TRAINING ALONE
She trained without a coach for almost four years after her national funding was cut in 2016. She had been working in Slovenia with a specialist coach since 2011, but was able to return to the country in February 2020 to compete and train under Vladimir Kevo. "[Speaking in 2019] It has not gone well for me. I have technical issues because I am training alone and I don't have a coach. It is difficult for me to improve or find a coach to help me train for Tokyo because there aren't any in my town or province. Since 2016 I have had to work alone, and been in decline."
