She and her sister Charlotte were hooked by the sport after attending a demonstration show in which a friend took part. "We used to dance and had learnt how to swim. One day, a school friend invited us to a demonstration gala. It mixed dance with swimming. That was what we wanted to do." They both combined artistic swimming with artistic gymnastics but at some point they had to choose. "Our mother hoped one of us would continue doing synchro and the other gymnastics. But as times went by we realised we both wanted to practise synchronised swimming. Training hours were already so many and both activities were no longer matching. We decided to stop gymnastics." SWIMMING WITH HER SISTER
She and her sister Charlotte have competed together since they first tried the sport. "The big advantage is that we know each other inside out. We can deal with each other really well in competition or during training. We can anticipate each other's actions and thoughts. We do complete each other really well. The negative side is that when we have something to say, we are very direct with each other so it can get a bit harsh. Sometimes we need to have our own space for a little while and do our own things. But yeah, it never lasts and thankfully neither of us is resentful. I couldn't live without my sister for too long." They also spend time together outside the pool as they both study the same course at university. (fina.org, 27 Jun 2019; leparisien.fr, 27 Mar 2021)
