"I tried a number of sports including fencing, handball, and climbing. Like a lot of kids, I loved playing with a bow and arrow in the garden so I also gave archery a try at the Torpes club, which wasn't far from my home. I achieved good results right away, and in my third year I competed at the national championships. I quickly took a liking to the sport, and I've never let it go since." Olympic qualifying results

General
NATURE LOVER
He enjoys spending time outdoors either fishing or hunting, and also keeps bees to produce honey. "I spent the first years of my life in Goumois [France], and at age eight I went to trout fishing all alone. And every year I return there. It is a marvellous place. [When I lived] in Paris, once I finished my training I went fishing by the Marne or by the Seine. Now in Sologne [France, where he lives] I go fishing by the ponds. Right now, my beehives are in Sologne. I produce around 100 kilograms of honey every year." (estrepublicain.fr, 03 Feb 2021)

OTHER ACTIVITIES
He has served as manager of the French federation of bow hunting [FFCA], and is a member of the Association of Sportsmen Practising Hunting Activities [ASPAC]. "We organise charitable hunting sessions. It is also important to make people understand that we are not a band of butchers who have fun by killing animals." (estrepublicain.fr, 03 Feb 2021)
