DEALING WITH LOCKDOWN
He sought help for depression during the COVID-19 lockdown after hearing the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo would be rescheduled. "Once the postponement was announced, the whole season was shattered. I went through different stages, including depression. I couldn't touch my bow anymore. I ended up calling a psychologist from INSEP [National Institute of Sport, Expertise, and Performance] to help me. I knew her, I have been working with her for several years around mental preparation. In sporting terms, confinement made me feel as if it was the end of my career. Despite everything, I consider myself lucky because some experienced a confinement much less pleasant than mine, and that puts it in perspective." (francetvinfo.fr, 15 May 2020)
