SWITCH TO RECURVE
She began competing in archery with the compound bow but at age 13 her coach encouraged her to switch. "I was very good in compound and a lot of people did not want me to change. But my coach insisted and I made the switch [to recurve]. The first six months were complicated because I was so stubborn and I wanted to do it the same way as I used to do it with compound. I want to do things very well. When I switched to recurve I realised it was more difficult to do it very well. And that's what made me stay with recurve, being able to do things my way.
