At the Rio 2016 Games, a team of two men and one woman represented Yemen in three sports.
The 1992 Games in Barcelona were the first in which a unified Yemen took part. Since then, athletics and judo are the sports that have seen the most Yemeni competitors.
Four female athletes have competed for Yemen at the Olympic Games with the first, sprinter Hana Ali Saleh, competing over 200m at the NOC's third Games in Sydney in 2000.
