General Interest
Athletes from St. Lucia first competed at the Olympic Games in 1996 in Atlanta, where a six-person team, still the NOC's largest contingent, competed in athletics and sailing events.
Most competitors who have represented the small Caribbean island have done so in athletics, with Dominic Johnson contesting the pole vault at three Games [1996, 2000, 2004] making him the NOC's equal-most prolific Olympian. His best result was 26th in Sydney, and in 1996 he also ran as part of the St. Lucia 4x400m relay team.
High jumper Levern Spencer is the only other athlete to represent the NOC at three editions of the Games. She competed in 2008 and 2012, before placing sixth in Rio in 2016.
