General Interest
Athletes from Dominica made their Olympic debut at the 1996 Games in Atlanta. The six-person team consisted of four men and two women, who competed across events in athletics and swimming.
Swimmers Kenneth Maronie and Francilla Agar were part of the Dominican delegation at the 2000 Games in Sydney, but the NOC has been represented solely by competitors in athletics since then. The majority have taken part in sprint events although 800m runner Marie-Lyne Joseph participated at Athens 2004 and triple jumpers Thea Lafond and Yordanys Duranona competed at the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Two athletes from Dominica have appeared at more than one edition of the Olympic Games. Chris Lloyd competed in the men's 400m in 2004 and the men's 200m in 2008, while Erison Hurtault participated in the men's 400m in both 2008 and 2012.
