She initially practised gymnastics but became too tall for the sport, so she followed her mother into basketball. "My mother measured 185 centimetres, and my father two metres. When I was very young I knew I would become tall. Because of my size, I gave up gymnastics, my first sport. Everyone knew I could not be the new Nadia Comaneci." She took up 3x3 basketball to try something new. "I wanted to try another sort of the game to get out of the routine that I had with 5-on-5 basketball.
