The Russian Olympic Committee enters the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games after the Russian Federation finished sixth in the world rankings for 2021/22 World Cup season.
The Unified Team won bronze in the event's Olympic debut in 1992 in Albertville, with the Russian Federation finishing fifth two years later at Lillehammer 1994. The Russian team returned at Sochi 2014 to finish fourth, winning the B-final with a team featuring Tatyana Borodulina, who now coaches the ROC team.
Four years ago, at the 2018 Games in PyeongChang, the Olympic Athletes from Russia finished fifth in the event.
The team has never won a World Championship title, with the Soviet Union winning one silver in 1991 in Sydney, and the Russian team winning silver in 2019 (Sofia) and bronze in 2016 (Seoul).
