Father Roberto Sighel (Speed skating): Five-time Olympian (1988-02), with six top-10 finishes. Won 1500m bronze at the 1998 World Single Distances Championships. World Allround champion in 1992, after winning silver in 1991 and before adding two bronze medals (1995, 1998). Three-time medallist at the European Championships, with two silver (1998-99) and one bronze (1995). Former world record holder in the big combination and one-hour skating.
Sister Arianna Sighel (Short track): Innsbruck 2012 Youth Olympian, finishing fifth in the 1000m. Two time World Championship relay medallist, winning silver in 2020 and bronze in 2021. Added another relay bronze medal at the 2021 European Championships.
Grandfather Mario Sighel (Speed skating): National-level skater in Italy during the 1950s and 1960s.
