Competed at the 2021 World Championships, winning a bronze medal.

Won a bronze medal at the 2019 U18 World Junior Championships and a gold medal at the 2021 U20 World Junior Championships.

Beniers, along with Jake Sanderson, Brock Faber, Matthew Knies, and Drew Commesso, will be the first teenagers to play hockey for Team USA since Scott Lachance and Keith Tkachuk at the Albertville 1992 Olympic Winter Games.

At 18 years, 3 months, Beniers will be the youngest Team USA Olympic hockey player since 1984, when Ed Olczyk was just under 17 years, 6 months old at Sarajevo. Beniers is the fourth-youngest Team USA male hockey player after Mark Howe (1972), Olczyk, and Al Iafrate (1984).
