Father Steve Tambellini (Ice hockey): Played 553 games in the NHL between 1978 and 1988 for the New York Rangers, Colorado Rockies, New Jersey Devils, Calgary Flames and Vancouver Canucks. Served as general manager of the Edmonton Oilers from 2008 to 2013. Represented Canada at the Calgary 1988 Olympic Winter Games.
Brother Jeff Tambellini (Ice hockey): Played 242 games in the NHL for the Los Angeles Kings, New York Islanders and Vancouver Canucks between 2005 and 2011.
Grandfather Addie Tambellini (Ice hockey): Longtime player for the Trail Smoke Eaters. Won a gold medal at the 1961 World Championships and a bronze medal at the 1967 World Championships.
