ROAD TO THE NHL
Originally an undrafted training camp invite of the Montreal Canadiens at the beginning of the 2007/08 season after two straight 100-point seasons in junior, he initially earned a minor league contract with the Cincinati Cyclones (ECHL) where he eventually led the league in scoring and the team to a league championship. This led to him signing a two-year NHL contract in November 2008, after which he spent the next two seasons in the minors before becoming a NHL regular by the 2010/11 season. Played 524 NHL games for three teams over 10 seasons.
