Father Felix Hollenstein (Ice hockey): Played professionally in the Swiss National League from 1985 to 2002. Represented Switzerland at the international level on several occasions, including at the Calgary 1988 Winter Olympic Games.
Brother Marc Hollenstein (Ice hockey): Plays for EHC Embrach at the Swiss Division 3 level.
Uncle Albert Hollenstein (Ice hockey): Has coached at the Swiss Division 3 level, most notably for Winterthur from 2006 to 2010.
