General Interest

55-SAVE PERFORMANCE
Recorded 55 saves in 57 shots in a quarterfinal game against Canada at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games. He allowed the winning goal late in the third period, off the stick of Shea Weber (CAN). Despite losing the game 2-1, his performance earned him widespread praise in both countries, as the game was expected to have been a much more lopsided affair in favour of Canada.
