Brother Brent Turnbull (Ice hockey): Played in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) from 2010 to 2014 and later at St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia.
2016 World Championships
August 2021: Suffered a broken fibula during the team's celebration following its World Championships victory over the USA, returning to the ice to receive her gold medal on a stretcher. She returned to competition in mid-November.
2019: Suffered a tournament-ending injury in the semifinal of the 2019 World Championships after she was pushed head-first into the boards in the match against Finland.

I played with my brother and a lot of other friends from our neighbourhood and I just fell in love with it, and have been playing ever since.
