Father Darren Saulnier (Ice hockey): Played at the junior level for the Halifax Lions of the Metro Valley Junior Hockey League (MVJHL).

Brother Brennan Saulnier (Ice hockey): Played collegiate hockey for the University of Alabama, Huntsville for four seasons from 2014-18, then professionally since 2018 in Sweden, the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) and American Hockey League (AHL).

Uncle Duane Saulnier (Ice hockey): Played at St. Francis Xavier University from 1990-94.

Cousin Justin Saulnier (Ice hockey): Played in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) for the Halifax Mooseheads and Val-d'Or Foreurs in the 2000s.

MARITIME CONNECTIONS
One of two players on Team Canada from the province in Nova Scotia, along with Blayre Turnbull (Stellarton, NS). Head coach Troy Ryan (Spryfield, NS) is also from the province.

EDUCATION
Attended Berkshire School in Sheffield, MA (USA), for one year in 2011, prior to finishing high school in Ontario. Other alumni of Berkshire to play in the Olympic Winter Games include Kacey Bellamy (USA) and Kendall Coyne (USA). (cbc.ca, 29 Jan 2018)
