Competed for Finland at the 2021 World Championships, the 2018 and 2020 U18 World Championships, and the 2019 U16 European Cup.

Bronze medal at 2021 World Championships.

At age 16, Vanhanen was the youngest Finnish player at the 2021 World Championships, and will be the second-youngest woman to ever play ice hockey for Finland at an Olympic Winter Games, behind Emma Laaksonen in 1998 (16 years, 53 days).
