During overtime in the gold medal match at the 2019 World Championship in Espoo, she believed she had scored the game-winning goal but after a 12-minute review, it was controversially disallowed and the United States went on to win in a shootout. Had her goal counted, it would have been the first time a team besides the United States of America or Canada won the World Championship title.
