General Interest

COLLEGE HOCKEY
Moved to the United States as a teenager in 2012 to play junior hockey in the United States Hockey League (USHL). Graduated from high school in Mona Shores, MI in 2013. Attended Western Michigan University where he played for three seasons (2014-17) and was the first German national to play hockey at that institution.

CAREER IN GERMANY
Joined his hometown team, Kolner Haie, in 2018 to play alongside his older brother, Dominik. In 2018, the team played in an exhibition match against German hockey star Leon Draisaitl and the Edmonton Oilers, losing 4-3 in overtime.

NHL DRAFT
Selected 167th overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
