General Interest

TURKKILA/VERSLUIS
Teamed up in March 2016 after competing in singles at the international level. Both are Finnish national singles champions. She competed at the European and World Championships in singles from 2011-14.

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
Debuted at the World Championship in 2019 (16th). Finished 21st in 2021 in Stockholm thus missing the direct qualification for the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games.

EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS
Debuted at the European Championships in 2019, finishing 11th. Missed 2020 as she was recovering from a neck injury. (isuresults.com) Missed 2022 as she was waiting for a negative COVID-19 test result after contracting the illness in December 2021.

OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES QUALIFYING
Qualified an Olympic spot for Finland by winning the Olympic qualifying event at the 2021 Nebelhorn Trophy. They are the first Finnish ice dance couple to compete at the Olympic Winter Games since Susanna Rahkamo/Petri Kokko, who finished fourth in 1994.

ACCOMPLISHED COACH
Coach Maurizio Margaglio (ITA) is the 2001 World champion and 2002 Olympic bronze medallist with partner Barbara Fusar Poli.
