Fiance Brett Gallant (Curling): Earned Canada's selection to the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games after winning the Olympic Trials (finished third in 2017 in both disciplines). Back-to-back World Championship medallist winning gold in 2017 and silver in 2018. Silver medallist at the 2019 World Mixed Doubles Championship with Peterman. Three-time Brier champion (2017, 2018, 2020) and two-time Canadian mixed doubles champion with Peterman (2016, 2019).
Brother Joel Peterman (Curling, Baseball): Curling gold medallist at the 2007 Canada Winter Games with Alberta. Won baseball gold at the 2007 Canada Summer Games and silver in 2009, before becoming a Division II college pitcher with Minot State University from 2009-12.
Softball: Finished sixth at the 2013 Canada Games in Sherbrooke, with Alberta. Continued competitive league play until 2018, and stopped when she moved to Winnipeg to join Team Jones.

“Dad was an icemaker so we were always around the rink (Red Deer Curling Club). I started in the Little Rock league when I was five, quite a bit younger than the other kids.” (Athlete, 17 Dec 2021)
“I really loved the social aspect of the game, it was unique compared to other sports. I’d watch curling and see everyone go upstairs and sit together, with the opposition, and become best friends with everyone.” (Athlete, 17 Dec 2021)
On-ice training plus off-ice gym workouts six days a week, two hours per session, with weekends off.
Winning the 2021 Canadian Olympic Trials. “That was probably the most excited I’ve ever been. I can’t really think past that right now.” (Athlete, 17 Dec 2021)
“Growing up, Jennifer Jones (CAN) was one of the best. She was so charismatic in front of the camera and she’s done a lot for women’s sport. I grew up wanting to be like her and now I’m on her team, going to the Olympics with her. It’s pretty crazy.” (Athlete, 17 Dec 2021)
