General Interest

NIGHT SHOPPING
After winning an Olympic berth, she purchased an Olympic rings necklace online that same night at 2:00 a.m. “I wasted no time. My teammates all have one from 2014. After we won, I couldn’t sleep for like two days, I was so excited.” (Athlete, 17 Dec 2021)

TEENAGE INSPIRATION
In 2011, Vancouver 2010 Olympic silver medallist Cheryl Bernard (CAN) spoke at her curling camp. Peterman was a teenager at the time. “I just remember being so inspired by her conversation. I remember one of our coaches at that camp saying ‘you guys better listen to her, one person in this room might achieve the same things as her.’ I remember thinking, that’s going to be me. I have to be that one person.” (reddeeradvocate.com, 26 Jan 2022)

DISAPPOINTMENT

POST-CAREER PLANS
“Occupational therapy is my goal, but I can’t do that right now with my curling schedule. I like learning and challenging myself.” (Athlete, 17 Dec 2021)
