Wife Laura Walker (Curling): Bronze medallist at the 2018 World Mixed Doubles Championship. World Junior Championship silver medallist in 2010. Third place at the 2021 Tournament of Hearts.
Sister Stephanie Enright (Curling): Won the 2017 Canadian Open as part of Team Casey Scheidegger.
Brother-in-law Adam Enright (Curling): Vancouver 2010 Canadian Olympian, winning gold. World Championship gold medallist in 2008.
Cousin Matt Walker (Ice hockey): Played nine seasons in the NHL with St. Louis, Chicago, Tampa Bay and Philadelphia. Retired in 2014.
Cousin Darby Walker (Ice hockey): Played professional hockey in the Central Hockey League (CHL) and British Ice Hockey Superleague (BISL).

March 2017: Rhomboid muscle strain in his back during the Brier, which reduced his sweeping effectiveness. No surgery but regular physiotherapy maintenance is required.
As a child he played ice hockey on an arena pad adjacent to the Beaverlodge CC, and he regularly visited his parents’ league games. One night at age 12 his father needed a spare player and recruited him. He made a successful takeout on his first-ever shot. “I got lucky.” (Athlete, 6 Dec 2021)
