Husband Mike McEwan (Curling): Winter Universiade gold medallist in 2003. Runner-up at the 2017 Olympic Trials, losing to Kevin Koe, after a third-place finish at the Canadian championship earlier that year. Seven-time Grand Slam of Curling champion from 2010-18.

2008 World Championship in Vernon vs. Switzerland (6-3 Win)

2017: Tore the meniscus in her left knee, due to wear and tear of curling career. Required surgery but has had no current complications.

First learned to curl at age seven at the RCMP Curling Club in Ottawa. Moved to the Rideau club where her parents were in charge of the junior section.

Had the same trainer for the past 15 years and has a home gymnasium in her basement. Throws practice stones almost every day, sometimes with her husband.
