His mother played in France. At age 10 he went to see her at a mixed doubles event and found the sport intriguing. (Athlete, 18 Oct 2021)

“It’s an inexact science. You could do the same thing exactly twice, and you’ll have two different outcomes. There’s also a little bit of randomness in the game, and it’s impossible to control everything so you’ll always get surprises. I think that’s pretty cool.” (Athlete, 18 Oct 2021)

:

“Be as ready as possible. There’s so much good stuff going on. If we can enjoy as much as possible to have so many great memories from this, that’s probably the most important for me.” (Athlete, 18 Oct 2021)

:

Trains two to four days a week with his team at the national training centre in Biel.

Winning a bronze medal at the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games. "I think every time you come home with something there’s a bit of a special feeling. It’s like I went away to do a job, and you come back feeling really happy to have achieved it. The Olympics are big because (winning a medal) is so rare, and you have to get a bit lucky at the end. Not everyone can be lucky enough at the right moments to come home with something from the Olympics." (Athlete, 18 Oct 2021)

:

“I just admire people that have been successful but in very different domains or subjects.” (Athlete, 18 Oct 2021)

:

"I always buy new socks and I change socks all the time during the competitions." (World Curling TV YouTube, 28 Nov 2015)

:

“Be happy and proud of what you’ve done, but stay hungry to improve.” (Athlete, 18 Oct 2021)
