Started curling at age six at Dumfries Ice rink. “My sister and brother used to go in every night and practice, and I would go and watch. One day my sister and her coach asked me if I wanted to go on and have a shot, which as a sporty kid, I was desperate to do this. I went on and never looked back, loved it from day one.” (Athlete, 7 Jan 2022)
“I got pretty good at it quickly and this helped spark a big interest. I loved the idea of being part of a team and competing in such a good atmosphere. I had to choose whether I wanted to pursue golf or curling at one point, however I made the choice and haven’t looked back.” (Athlete, 7 Jan 2022)
