Curling is prominent in his small village of Sveg, and his grandfather was the chairman at Svegs Curlingklubb. Naturally, he was encouraged to start by family and friends. Tried a number of sports growing up, but always preferred to part of a team. (teamedin.se; sok.se)

Milestones

Won gold at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games in the men’s team event. Won silver at the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games in the men’s team event.

Ranks third all-time in World Championship victories (behind teammates Niklas Edin and Oskar Eriksson). Part of the first team to win three consecutive world titles in 2021 (Calgary). Appeared in six World Championships with Team Edin, with four victories and one second-place. His first World Championship in 2014 (Beijing), he played under Oskar Eriksson, where they won silver.

Also ranked third all-time in European Championship titles (again behind teammates Niklas Edin and Oskar Eriksson). Part of the first team to win four consecutive European titles in 2017 (St Gallen). All medals and participations were with Team Edin. Alongside Edin and Eriksson, became the first to win the World and European Championships in same year (2015, 2019).

Won three Grand Slam of Curling tournaments, becoming the first non-Canadian men's team to do so, when they won the 2016 Masters.

Gold medallist at the 2013 Winter Universiade (Trentino) and 2011 World Junior Championship (Perth), with Oskar Eriksson as skip.

Six-time national champion between 2014 and 2020, missing the 2017 to prepare for the World Championships in Edmonton.
