Father Christian Thune-Jacobsen (Curling): Skipped two teams at the World Championship (1984, 1991), winning three games across both appearances. Competed at back-to-back European Curling Championships (1988-89), finishing sixth in 1988. Coached the Polish women's team at the 2007 and 2015 European Championships, before leading them to a second-place finish in C-Division in 2018.

Brother Fabian Thune (Curling): Back-to-back appearances at the European Junior Challenge Competition (2012-13), playing alongside Tobias who was skip. They won silver in 2013, with a 7-1 record.

Brother Kilian Thune (Curling): Lausanne 2020 Youth Olympian, finishing 13th in the mixed competition. Three consecutive appearances at the World Junior "B" Championships, including finishing fifth in 2017 as a non-playing alternate. Placed fifth at the 2019 European Youth Olympic Winter Festival.

Rugby: Winger with CSR-NANOK Rugby. Winner of the 2019 Danish Cup and runner-up in the 2018 Danish Championship.

Several injuries throughout his career including two concussions, four broken noses, a broken hand, two broken fingers, one broken elbow, three broken toes, one broken collarbone, broken teeth, and several lacerations that had to be sewn.

Began playing at age five with Gentofte. "Back then the club was only playing Thursday nights in an ice hockey arena with terrible ice conditions. When my brother Fabian and I were young, we were mostly fooling around and not curling much. Years later Gentofte Curling Club got its own facilities." (Athlete, Dec 2021)
