World Championship skip Kristian Soerum (NOR) worked with his father, and Nergaard participated in some various social work events at Snaroya CurlingKlubb from age five onward. “The rock was pretty heavy. I had both my feet in both hacks, and just pushed out. The draws were better than the takeouts, I think.” (Athlete, 10 Jan 2022)
I think most people think it’s fun when they try it out. Anyone can make the shots, they don’t have to be the strongest or fastest or most athletic. Everyone starts at the same level.” (Athlete, 10 Jan 2022)
Believes his team, which qualified seventh of the 10 nations at Beijing 2022, is not expected to reach the podium. “On a given day we may have the opportunity to beat them. But we are not medal favourites.” (vg.no, 25 Dec 2021)
“If the world had been like in the old days, we would certainly have traveled more this year – and especially last year. Now I have been able to work, and train at lunch and in the evening. It has been easier to (train) than if everything had been open. It has almost been easier with the pandemic.” (vg.no, 25 Dec 2021)
“Participating at the Vancouver Olympics in 2010 in front of a packed arena. It was crazy.” (Athlete, 10 Jan 2022)
