“I remember being a lot at the curling rink when growing up. I remember wearing a helmet and sitting on top of the rocks while getting thrown around. I was asked to substitute for Magnus Ramsfjell (NOR) in a junior event because they needed a player to be able to start the event. After I threw two rocks I thanked them for the game and left and I remember thinking it was really fun. So that was when I started playing again.” (Athlete, 9 Jan 2022)

:

“It’s a really unique team sport. You play with three guys you want to play with, which makes it extra special. Travelling around, trying to achieve goals with people you enjoy being around and wishing the best for one another, I think it’s quite fantastic.” (Athlete, 9 Jan 2022)

:

“Up to now it’s definitely been participating in the Olympics. Both my parents have, and in my view it’s the pinnacle of what you can compete in as a Norwegian curler.” (Athlete, 9 Jan 2022)

:

Qualifying for a 2017 Grand Slam final in Regina with teammates Walstad, Hoiberg and Nedregotten, where they lost to Brad Gushue (CAN). “We played some really good events in that time period, and it was such a cool experience getting all the way to the final in our first Grand Slam event.” (Athlete, 9 Jan 2022)

:

His parents.

:

“I can’t have any rituals, because if one doesn’t work I will try a new one, and at that point it’s no longer a ritual.” (Athlete, 9 Jan 2022)

:

World Junior Championship Sportsmanship Award (2017). “It was a very big honour and something I cherish to the day today.” (Athlete, 9 Jan 2022)
