@ PYEONGCHANG 2018
Turkey fielded a team of eight athletes (five men, three women) competing in four sports: Alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, figure skating and ski jumping. Turkey's best finish in PyeongChang was 19th in ice dance by Alisa Agafonova and Alper Ucar.

OLYMPIC GAMES HISTORY
Turkey sent its first Olympic team to Paris in 1924 before making its Olympic Winter Games debut in 1936. It has only missed the Winter Games of 1952, 1972 and 1980.
It has had 67 Winter Olympians (60 men, seven women), competing in Alpine and cross-country skiing, figure skating and ski jumping.
Turkey has not won a medal at the Olympic Winter Games, with its best finishes being 15th in the 1968 men's cross-country skiing relay and 19th in the 2018 ice dance by the figure skating couple Alisa Agafonova and Alper Ucar.
Three Turkish Winter Olympians have competed at four Games - Muzaffer Demirhan in men's Alpine skiing (1948, 1956, 1960, 1964), and Kelime Aydin-Cetinkaya and Sabahattin Oglago in women's cross-country skiing (2002, 2006, 2010, 2014).
Turkey has won 103 Olympic medals (41 golds). Turkish wrestlers account for an outstanding 66 of these (29 gold medals). However, its most notable competitors have been weightlifters: both Halil Mutlu and Naim Suleymanoglu won three gold medals in that sport.
