OLYMPIC GAMES HISTORY
Trinidad and Tobago has competed continuously at the Olympic Games since its debut in 1948, competing only as Trinidad through 1956 and in 1964.
Made its Olympic Winter Games debut at Lillehammer 1994 and competed again at the following two Games. It has only appeared in one sport and one event with four athletes in the men's 2-man bobsleigh. Their teams finished 32nd (1998) and 37th (1994, 2002). Gregory Sun appeared at all three Olympic Winter Games, while Curtis Harry participated in 1994 and 1998.
Returning after 20 years, Trinidad and Tobago will again be represented by two bobsledders at Beijing 2022 with Axel Brown piloting the sled Andre Marcano as the brakeman.
Trinidad and Tobago has won 19 Olympic medals, 15 in athletics, three in weightlifting and one in swimming. Its first gold medal occurred in 1976 when Hasely Crawford won the men's 100m. In 2012 Keshorn Walcott became the second gold medallist for Trinidad and Tobago after winning the men's javelin throw, but the nation later added a gold medal in the 2008 men's 4x100 relay after the disqualification of Jamaica. Track sprinter Ato Boldon has the most medals won by a Trinbagonian with one silver and three bronze (in 1996 and 2000).
