OLYMPIC GAMES HISTORY
The National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Portugal was formed in October 1909 and has competed at the Olympic Games continuously since 1912.
It made its Olympic Winter Games debut at Oslo 1952, represented by Alpine skier Duarte Espirito-Santo.
Danny Silva competed in cross-country skiing in both 2006 and 2010, becoming the first Portuguese athlete to have competed at two editions of the Olympic Winter Games.
Portugal has won 24 Olympic medals, all at the Olympic Games.
