At age 14 she competed in gymnastics at national level. One of her hobbies is motivational speaking and, in 2020, she co-founded a business Meet My Melanin in Ontario, Canada to help disadvantaged local youth.

Has set her sights on defending sprint double at Tokyo 2020. Loves cooking and took culinary studies course in Kingston, Jamaica. Battled a lower leg injury in 2018 that nagged her throughout 2019.
Finished 29th at 2019 WCh. Placed 17th at 2018 European Ch. In 2021 season, won British GP and 3rd at Bislett Games. In other events - finished 11th in 4x100m relay at 2016 OG. Gold in 60m at 2021 European Indoor Ch. 4th in 4x100m relay at 2019 WCh. She has worked with a psychologist to boost self-confidence and is focusing more on athletics than her master's degree in literature.
Silver at 2019 WCh. Gold at 2018 European Ch. Won overall Diamond League title in 2019. In other events - bronze in 4x100m and 5th in 200m at 2016 OG. Gold in 200m at 2019 WCh, silvers in 4x100m relay in 2019 and 2017, bronze in 2013. Won 200m at 2019, 2018, 2016 European Ch. In 2019, in Doha, became first GBR athlete to win 200m gold at WCh. Spends up to an hour on hair and beauty before races.
Won 2018 NACAC Ch and finished 3rd in 2021 NCh. In other events - placed 10th in 200m at 2016 OG. Silver in 4x100m relay at 2015 WCh. Won 4x100m relay at 2018 NACAC Ch. Won NCh in 200m in 2018, 2015. Disappointment in Rio spurred her on to Tokyo 2020. With family connections in Italy, she refused offer of dual citizenship that would have guaranteed her a place in ITA athletics team at 2016 OG.
Finished 20th at 2016 OG, 31st in 2012. Placed 18th at 2019 WCh, DSQ in 2017, 24th in 2013. Finished 6th at 2016 European Ch. In other events - finished 4th in 4x100m relay at 2016 OG, 5th in 4x100m relay at 2012 OG. Bronze in 4x100m relay at European Ch in 2018 and 2016. She was a ballet dancer, swimmer and volleyball player before sprinting. In 2019, joined Rana Reider's training camp in USA.
