Finished 1st at 2021 Olympic Qualification Tournament Asia. WANG showed talent in sport as a child and started training in judo at age nine. In late 2007 kayak coach Chen Chunsheng scouted one of his classmates, who recommended that coach Chen should let Wang give the sport a try as well. Chen then noticed that he had a good physique for kayaking.
