He was a promising wide receiver in American football when he was younger. At age 17 at Tokyo 2020, he is the youngest male competitor to represent the USA in athletics at the Olympic Games since 1964.

Bronze in 100m at 2019 WCh. Tried sprinting after high school was unable to field a senior year basketball team. He borrowed a pair of spikes and came second, running 10.9s without starting blocks.

Mother got him into sport because 'he had a lot of energy'. His career was marred by a hamstring injury in 2019 that affected his performances.
Qualified 4th from SF. First-time Olympian. One of Liberia's flag-bearers during the 2020 OG opening ceremony. 'One memorable moment for me was exchanging pins with different countries before we walked. Until I got here, I didn't know pins were a big thing.' His parents emigrated from Liberia to the USA and settled in Minnesota. 'I think I get all my speed from my mum, but I have my dad's legs.'
